Welcome to my blog!
I am a SQL Server Specialist with over 25 years in the IT industry. I have worked with SQL Server since 1994 and with various mainframe DBMS products prior to that. I have been the Chapter Leader of the Houston Area SQL Server User Group (HASSUG) since 2001. At the first PASS Community Summit held in Chicago in 1999, I became a volunteer and have served on various PASS Committees. I was a PASS Community Summit speaker from 2000-2007, including presenting a couple of Spotlight speaker sessions. In April of 2011, my SQLPeople(TM) interview went live. If you want to know even more about me, then click the About tab above or here.
My primary area of interest is the manageability of SQL Server in the Enterprise environment – think lots and lots of servers and instances and thousands upon thousands of databases! Therefore, learning and exploiting PowerShell for automating tasks is a current focus.
I hope you find my postings educational, informative, and occasionally perhaps even entertaining. Constructive criticism is welcome and if you find a factual error in anything I post please let me know so that I can correct it!
